527c47b8d7 fix crash at the end of audio assistant. 
This fix is only a workaround for 3.8.x branch. The bug is fixed in a better way in mediastreamer2, master branch.

067bbef127 Improve XML-RPC API. 
- Handle XML-RPC request returning a string response
- Allow creating a request adding the arguments one at a time (useful for
  automatically generated wrappers where variable args functions can be an
  issue)
